Tuesday TAlks: Hernease Davis

In place of our fall 2020 exhibitions, Mazmanian Gallery presented a series of remote lectures by artists and designers speaking about their work and creative practices. This is a recording of the Tuesday Talk with Hernease Davis on September 15th, 2020.

Hernease Davis is a photo-based artist using photograms, cyanotypes, sound performance, and craft to emphasize self-care through the artistic process. She has been shaping her practice into a psychological space where she may safely confront emotional scars, respond to visceral impulses, and grow in acceptance of the imperfections inherent in the material process.
